B. Scott Anderson is a Web Producer/Reporter for KATU.com, the website of television news station KATU in Portland, Ore.
He has been a journalist for the past 12 years, mostly as a sports writer and can tell you more than you'll ever want to know about throwing a javelin, where the hole set in a water polo game is and how wrestlers lose all that weight before they compete, among other things.
Scott, who grew up in Silverton, has written for several newspapers, including: The Oregonian, The Statesman Journal, The Austin American-Statesman, The Tacoma News Tribune, The Sacramento Bee, The Des Moines Register, The Newberg Graphic and others. In August of 2010, he came to KATU.com as a Web Producer/Reporter.
He lives in Tigard and enjoys buying his seven nieces and nephews loud and messy gifts for Christmas and their birthdays (much to the dismay of their parents).
In his free time, Scott enjoys watching the UFC, going to the football games of his nephew and always coming in second in poker tournaments with his friends. He also hopes to be able to one day do as many pull-ups as those people in the P90X infomercials.
